Open Access and Digital Repository Forum - Research in Academe

On May 25, 2011 a one-day conference on Digital Repositories was held at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library.  This engaging program includes speakers who presented on issues in scholarly communication, such as author rights, electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs), marketing digital repositories, and the potential of open access repositories as a publishing venue.

 This segment of the program features Pamela Stacks who is the Associate Vice President of Graduate Studies and Research at San José State University.  During this segment, she will discuss the role of the public university in disseminating, archiving, and providing access to the research and scholarship of faculty and students.
