There are 36 rooms for groups of 2-12 people located throughout the King Library. These are dedicated to small group use for studying or working on projects.

Almaden, Alviso, Berryessa, Cambrian, Cruz Alum Rock, East San Jose Carnegie,
Edenvale,
Evergreen, Hillview, Joyce Ellington, Pearl Avenue, Rose Garden, Tully, Vineland, West Valley and Willow Glen branches have rooms dedicated to small group use for studying or working on projects. These rooms must be reserved online:

Meeting Room Suites labeled 225 and 229 (combined 225/229) and Lecture Rooms labeled 255 and 257 (combined 255/257) on the 2nd Floor of King Library are available for meetings and public forums sponsored by organizations and groups affiliated with the Library, San José State University, CSU system or City of San José.

The San José Public Library allows not-for-profit community groups to use the Community Rooms at the following branch libraries. Included for each branch is the room capacity in persons and features of the room.
