Link+

Link+ is a borrowing program among many California academic and public libraries — see Link+ Member Libraries. Link+ lets you request items from another library that are not available at the King Library or San José Public Library (SJPL) Branches.

  • With a Library Card, you may use Link+ to request items if you have no fines or overdue items.
  • You may request books, music scores and government documents through Link+.
  • You cannot request media and other kinds of materials.
  • Information for Distance Learners.

Visiting Patron Program

Many institutions that are members of Link+ participate in its Visiting Patron program.

This program lets you — as a patron from a Link+ library — use your library card in person at another Link+ library. You check out library items through Link+ and borrow them for the same time period as a Link+ loan.

Patrons of other Link+ libraries that participate in the program may use their cards at the King Library and SJPL branch libraries, but we encourage them to obtain and use a Library Card.

Select the following link for a list of which Link+ libraries participate or do not participate in the Link+ Visiting Patron program.
Note: When visiting another library that participates in the program, please have both your library card and ID present at the time of checkout.
