Investment Opportunities for Vendors: NEH Endowment Matching Grant

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library at San Jose State University (SJSU) needs your support to reach our match for the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Challenge Grant. The San Jose State University Library is now in the fourth year of fundraising for our NEH challenge grant. Since first receiving this prestigious award, we have raised over $375,000, which secured a match from the NEH exceeding $125,000 - bringing the total endowment to more than $500,000. This year's deadline is  July 31, 2012 with a goal to raise $100,000. 

Progress Report

Last year, we reported on the first database acquired with NEH endowment funds: Orlando: Women's Writing in the British Isles, from the Beginning to the Present. Recently, three additional database subscriptions have been licensed thanks to our dedicated NEH challenge grant library supporters: The Johns Hopkins Guide to Literary Theory & Criticism, the Brill Dictionary of Religion, and Black Short Fiction and Folklore from Africa and the African Diaspora.
