Access the Library from Off Campus
SJSU Students, Faculty & Distance Learners:
A Tower Card or Library Card is required to access the SJSU Library electronic resources from off campus. You also need a PIN number.
When you access the library's electronic resources (databases, ebooks, ejournals), you will see a log in screen that looks like this:

Fill in the 3 boxes and you’ll be set to access most of the electronic resources. Some databases and journals require separate IDs and passwords. You will be prompted again with a “Get Library Password” and a similar screen:

Troubleshooting:
If you don't have a PIN number, then, select the Library Account Link which is always located at the top of any page on our website.
- Enter your name in the first box. Enter your 9 digit SJSU ID in the second box. (The "w" is the equivalent to 00).
- Enter a PIN number in the third box. You will be asked to enter your new PIN twice. Your PIN should be a 4-digit number. Simple PINs such as 1111 or 1234 will be rejected by the system.
If You Forget Your PIN:
You can Reset Your PIN automatically. An email will be sent to the email address in your library record, including a link that will allow you to select a new PIN.
